How can I use SK Telecom rental services?
You can rent a phone instantly by visiting SKT roaming center located at airport. See the “Roaming Center” page for location details.For rental service, please bring your passport and credit card (your own name). Service fees will be settled when the phone is returned. Credit card is mandatory for phone rental process.* Deposit cards that cannot be used: Check card, AMEX issued overseas, Samsung Card, Hana Card, Mobile Pay, Debit Card
Do I need to make advance reservations?
You can rent it immediately at the airport without prior reservation. However, benefits available at the time of reservation will not be provided. If you wish to receive additional benefits, please be sure to make a reservation before using our service. We recommend making reservations at least 2 days in advance.
Any limitation on the number of rental devices and service period?
There is no limit to the quantity of mobile phone/Wi-Fi router rentals. 5. However, for short-term mobile phone/Wi-Fi router rentals, a deposit will be automatically charged to your credit card based on a 15-day period.
I’d like to use different locations for device pick-up and return. Can I still use the service?
Rental devices can be returned and paid for at each airport and roaming branch.
How should I make payment for the service?
You can make payment with cash (in Korea) or credit card upon the return of device. For long-term use over 15 days, you will make payment for the remaining period excluding the first 15 days.
I’d like to use a mobile phone that can be serviced in Korea. What kind of mobile phones may I use there?
Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 Edge are available for use.
What about the service charges?
For mobile phone rentals, the fees are divided into rental fees and user fees. The rental fee is KRW 3,300 per day, and the usage fee is charged at KRW 11/sec for domestic calls. For international calls, international call charges per minute will vary depending on the country being called.
What should I do if a mobile phone is broken or lost?
Please contact SKT Roaming Customer Center at +82-2-6343-9000 (toll free) or +82-1599-0011 (charges apply). In case of malfunction, we will quickly test the phone and provide a replacement, and in case of loss, we will immediately suspend the service. (Failure to report loss immediately may result in charges incurred by another party.) In the event of damage or loss of the mobile phone, repair or replacement fees will be charged.
Can I get contacts and photos saved in the rental phone transferred later?
For personal data protection, all rental phones will be initialized as soon as they are returned. If you need any information stored in the rental phone, please make sure you save them personally prior to the device return.
How to use Wi-Fi router?
In general, you just need to turn it on and enter the password (written on device) for use.
What about the data size?
You will get unlimited data. (But, if daily use exceeds 1GB, the speed can be limited.)
How many T Wi-Fi Routers can be used at maximum?
You can use up to 5 routers, but we recommend using up to 3 routers for stable usage speed. (If more devices are connected, it may accelerate battery usage.)
Can I use it anywhere in Korea?
Yes, you can use it nationwide.
What should I do if the device is broken or found defective?
Please contact us at roaming customer center immediately. The roaming customer center will kindly let you know what should be done.
