Privacy Policy of SK Telecom Roaming Inbound Website

General Provisions: 1. "Personal information" shall mean the information pertaining to any living person, which contains the code, letter, voice, sound and image, etc. that make it possible to identify such individual by his/her name and passport number, nationality, etc. (including the information which, if not by itself, makes it possible to identify any specific individual if combined with other information).; 2. SK Telecom Roaming Inbound website (www.sktroaming.com, hereafter SKT Roaming I/B website) shall value the personal information of customers, observe the provisions regarding the protection of privacy stipulated in the law pertaining to the “Promotion of the Use of Telecom Networks and the Protection of Privacy”, etc., and follow the “Privacy Guidelines by Telecommunication Service Provider” enacted by the Ministry of Information and Communication. The SKT Roaming I/B website shall disclose the privacy policy on its website to inform customers that how and for what purpose of customers’ personal information is used and managed, and shall let customers know necessary measures taken to protect their personal information.; 3. The SKT Roaming I/B website shall open its privacy policy at the first page of the website to let customers access the information easily.; 4. For continuous upgrade of Privacy Policy of the SKT Roaming I/B website, necessary measurement shall be taken. And when Privacy Policy is revised, necessary actions including version number of updated policy will be offered for easy notice.; 5. When important changes of the SKT Roaming I/B website are made, they shall be announced with detail ground at the website before they come into effect.
Purpose of Collecting Personal Information and Its Utilization: 1. When the SKT Roaming I/B website collect personal information, it shall announce the range and purpose of personal information collection on the application form or terms and conditions, according to related law.; 2. The SKT Roaming I/B website shall not collect any personal information including race, ideology, belief and hometown, political propensity, crime record, medical record, etc., which is likely to excessively infringe upon the right, interest and privacy of the customers.; 3. The SKT Roaming I/B website shall collect personal information for the following purposes.; A. Identification information: name, passport number, nationality, expected date for visiting Korea, arrival city, departure city, service period (for personal identification by service period); B. contact information: address, telephone no. e-mail address (to make communication smooth for settlement of payment, delivery of products and service, confirmation of personal opinion of the person concerned, response to complaints, etc.)
※ The above information shall include updated or changed information as well as that was collected when members are registered.
Personal Information Collection Method: SKT Roaming I/B website shall collect the personal information from personal identification by the website, Q&A board, telephone and fax, application for free gift, offer by partner companies, information collection tool used for mobile phone rental reservation service, etc..
Use of Personal Information Outside the Prescribed Purposes and Its Provision to Third Parties: 1. The SKT Roaming I/B website shall utilize the personal information within the scope or area written in the “Collection and Utilization of Personal Information” notified on the application form and terms and conditions for the utilization of the information and communication service and shall not provide it to any third party beyond the scope of the notification. Especially, more attention shall be taken to the following case.; A. a. Network partners; SK Telecom may provide customers’ personal information to its partnered parties or share it in order to better serve you. However before the information shared, SK Telecom shall inform customers by e-mail or in writing of the partnered or shared, which items of our personal information are to be provided, why such personal information should be provided or shared and until when and how the personal information should be protected or managed, thereby seeking your agreement. Unless customers agree to the aforementioned provisions, SK Telecom shall not provide or share the personal information to the partnered companies. This shall be also applied to the case of partnership change or termination of partnership.; B. Merger, sales, etc.; In the event that SK Telecom transfer its business in whole of in part, or its rights and duties due to a sale or merger, etc. it shall notify the customers of the matters to secure the customers personal information rights.; 2. The SKT Roaming I/B website shall provide following customers’ personal information to partnered companies to serve customers with better service.
Entrust of Personal Information Management: 1. To offer better service at the SKT Roaming I/B website
The SKT Roaming I/B website shall entrust following customers’ personal information to partnered companies to serve customers with better service and smooth management.; 2. The SKT Roaming I/B website shall stipulate related regulation and manage and supervise the partner companies that has been entrusted the work including observation of the Personal Information Protection Regulation, preservation of private information, no transfer of personal information to the third parties, compensation of damage in violation, entrust period, return or destruction of personal information after entrust period, etc. The personal information of customers shall be kept and used only as long as the customer uses the services provided by the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage. However, personal information may be retained afterwards according to relevant legal requirements.
Personal Information Preservation and Utilization Period: Personal Information of the SKT Roaming I/B website shall be preserved and utilized only when related service shall be provided. However, that the same shall not apply where other related acts and regulations require the preservation of such information.
Procedures and Methods of Personal Information Destruction: The SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall delete personal information as soon as the purpose for which it was collected is satisfied in accordance with the Retention and Use Periods clause. Rights of Users or Their Legal Representatives: 1. When a customer requests access to or verification/correction of his or her personal information, the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall sincerely respond to the request. If the personal information shall be found to contain an error(s) or its authorized period of retention has already expired, the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall promptly take necessary measures i.e., destroying his or her personal information collected.; A. Customers shall have the right to examine the information regarding their reservation and membership on the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage.; B. Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
If a customer requests the correction or deletion of his/her personal information via e-mail, fax, or telephone, the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall take the necessary steps without delay after confirming that the request is made by the customer him-/herself.; 2. If there is a valid reason to reject the request of a customer for access to or verification/correction of his/her personal information, the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall notify the customer of the decision and the reason.; 3. Customers can delete their personal information on the ‘Edit Your Information’ or ‘View Your Reservation’ page of the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage and revoke their agreement on the terms and conditions of the collection, use, and provision of personal information by opting out of membership.
Prohibition of Unauthorized Collection of Personal Information: The SKT Roaming I/B Homepage may install/operate cookies that automatically track and collect personal information using its Internet services. A cookie refers to a small piece of text stored on a user’s computer by a web browser. It is sent to an HTTP header by a web server to a web browser and sent back by the browser when the server requests. When the user visits a web site, the server reads the cookie to find contained information such as the user name and provides services without demanding any other information.; 1. Customers may preserve the right to refuse the installation of cookies. Notification or Report of Personal Information Management Policy: 1. The SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall ask for customers’ permission in advance via e-mail or telephone if it seeks to provide their personal information to third parties or use it for purposes that go beyond the scope notified at the time of collection or specified in the Terms and Conditions and the Private Policy.; 2. When the collection, handling, or management of customers’ personal information is outsourced, the fact shall be disclosed to customers through the Terms and Conditions or the Personal Information Management Policy on the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage.; 3. If the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage hands over its partial or entire operation, or transfers its rights and/or obligations due to a merger or succession, the fact shall not only be individually notified to customers via post mail or e-mail, but also posted on the main page of the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage for a period of at least 30 days.
Technical and Operational Measures for Personal Information Protection: In order to prevent customers’ personal information that it handles from being lost, stolen, leaked, manipulated, or damaged, the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage takes the following technical/operational measures :; 1. Customers’ personal information shall be protected through a password. Files and transmitted data are encrypted. Additional security functions are utilized to protect important data.; 2. The SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall be committed to preventing customers’ personal information from being leaked or damaged by hacking or attacks due to computer virus. As a precaution against damage to customers’ personal information, the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall make a backup on a regular basis. It also utilizes up-to-date anti-virus solutions to protect customers’ personal information, cryptographic communication to ensure safe transmission of customers’ personal information on the web, and a firewall system to block any unauthorized access from outside. As such, the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall be striving to be equipped with every technical tool available for the highest possible level of system security.; 3. The SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall adopt such security devices as encryption algorithms to guarantee safe transmission of personal information on the web.; 4. The transfer of customers’ personal information shall be assigned to a limited number of officers. The officers in charge are provided with a special password which is renewed on a regular basis. They are regularly trained and instructed to strictly follow the Personal Information Protection Policy.

E-mail Advertisements: 1. The SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall not send e-mail advertisements to customers without prior approval.; 2. When it seeks to send an e-mail advertisement for the introduction of new products and services and other customer-oriented marketing activities, the SKT Roaming I/B Homepage shall acquires customers’ prior approval and expressly states in the “Subject” line as well as in the content that the e-mail is an advertisement as follows : A. The “Subject” line shall start with the word “Advertisement” (in Korean, without space) followed by a short summary of the content. 3.
